Job summary

Providence Health & Services Education and Training Specialist - CLAIMS PROCESSING is responsible for developing and delivering training programs to raise quality and productivity in the Claims Department in Mission Hills, CA. Working under the Claims Director, you will plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate staff education, manuals, and materials, and assist with orientation of new staff.

• Bachelor's Degree in Education preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Five years of experience in claims operations, HMO products, industry claims processing procedures, contracts, billing and overall managed care processes.
• Proficiency in using multimedia training resources and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience in design, development and facilitation of educational programs in a corporate setting; ability to create computer-based learning programs is a plus.

Description

Working under the general supervision of the Claims Director, provide an effective education program to advance the quality and production level of the Claims Department by developing and delivering claims training programs that continuously improve the Claims Department performance to meet the NSS strategic goals. Coordinate, plan, prepare, schedule, deliver, and evaluate staff education, manuals, and materials. Assist with the orientation, education and integration of new employees in the Claims Department.

Qualifications
