Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage experienced educators across K-12 and higher education in teaching, curriculum design, assessment and AI integration. Contributors translate everyday teaching and assessment workflows into high-quality training data for AI systems.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in education, hold or seek teaching credentials, and are comfortable with common educational tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in education (K-12 or higher-ed)
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Comfortable with common classroom and instructional tools (Google Classroom, Canvas, PowerSchool, etc.)
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• State teaching license/certification or advanced degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Design realistic educational scenarios and tasks drawn from day-to-day work (lesson planning, assessment, item writing, grading, differentiation, IEPs)
• Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, standards alignment, grade-level appropriateness, and pedagogy
• Create structured examples reflecting how educators reason through problems
• Provide clear written feedback to improve AI performance in teaching tasks
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team

Skills

3+ years in education

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

State teaching license/certification (preferred)

National Board Certification (preferred)

Advanced degree (MEd/EdD/PhD or subject master's) (preferred)
