The HEP offices sit adjacent to campus in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. HEP seeks an Acquisitions Editor to acquire 15-20 titles per year, shaping a program in education research, policy, and practice, with close collaboration across editorial

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related professional experience in publishing and/or education.
• Cover letter required in addition to resume showing required qualifications.
• Occasional travel required.
• Remote applicants considered; Cambridge on-site presence 3 days/week preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acquire 15-20 academic/professional and/or trade books per year in education fields.
• Maintain and expand current publishing lists; identify new areas of interest.
• Solicit, develop, and evaluate proposals with editors; manage peer review.
• Collaborate with authors to develop proposals and manuscripts per press standards.
