Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Multimedia Designer to develop engaging online course content for US-based learners. You will convert manuscripts into HTML/CSS, ensuring accessibility, cross-platform compatibility, and adherence to style guidelines.

You’ll create multimedia elements, including illustrations and videos, leverage AI tools for audio and video, and ensure content is reusable and scalable within our LMS. Collaboration with designers, SMEs, and vendor teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Convert manuscripts into HTML/CSS format aligned with ed2go’s high-quality standards.
• Apply HTML/CSS formatting to classroom content (e.g. narrative lesson content, assignments, exams).
• Use basic JavaScript for functionality and interactivity.
• Analyze, design, and implement all multimedia design elements and external assets into our LMS.
• Generate audio using AI text-to-speech services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Learning Designers and Subject Matter Experts to develop project design plans.
• Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights and rationale behind design decisions.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
• Oversee and train content development vendors on internal processes, design guidelines, and tools.
• Deliver projects reliably on time and within budget without compromising quality.
