Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide direct therapy to individuals, couples and families in outpatient mental health settings.

The role requires doctoral or master’s level education in MFT and an unrestricted license, with the ability to coordinate care across teams and deliver crisis intervention as needed. The position is located in Fresno, CA, with standard M-F hours and optional ad hoc telework.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an approved program.
• Must hold full, current and unrestricted MFT license to practice independently
• Post-master's experience in mental health is preferred for GS-11

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy to individuals, families, couples and groups.
• Assist Veterans and families in treatment planning and decision making.
• Coordinate with BH teams to ensure seamless transition to services.
• Present crisis intervention when needed in outpatient settings.
