Job summary

Wilson Tool Canada in Minnesota is seeking an EDM Wire machine operator to run multiple machines, set up fixtures, and edit programs. You will load and secure parts, adjust dials and modes, monitor outputs, and inspect finished components for quality.

The role requires a 2-year tool/machining degree or current students, strong mechanical skills, blueprint reading, and the ability to work across several machines as needed, including trig and algebra basics.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a 2-year machine tool technology or tool and die degree, or 2nd year student in the field.
• Strong mechanical and technical abilities/experience.
• Ability to edit programs and set up multiple machines; understand G&M codes.
• Able to read blueprints and routings; perform math for tooling (trig, algebra).

Responsibilities

• Operate EDM Wire machines and related tooling in the Impax Division.
• Inspect, set up fixtures, load pieces, and program machines as required.
• Monitor progress, prepare next parts, and inspect finished parts for errors.
• Move between machines as workload demands and perform other duties as assigned.
