Job summary

A precision engineering company in Louisville, KY is seeking Die Shop Employees to proficiently produce spare parts and engineering changes. Responsibilities include running EDM programs, maintaining machine inventory, and performing preventative maintenance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, experience in machine shops, and solid skills in blueprint reading and 3D CAD/CAM programming. The starting pay is between $16 - $28 per hour based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; one year machine shop certificate or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read a blueprint and basic math skills.
• Experience in the use of calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.
• Greater than one year of experience in machine shop and/or die making.

Responsibilities

• Run wire EDM, Sinker EDM program and set up.
• Maintain proper inventory for machine spare parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance cleaning for machines.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance performed on all EDM machines.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work inside the plant with exposure to noise and chemicals.
