Job summary

Barnes Aerospace in West Chester, Ohio, seeks an experienced EDM Operator to join its production team. You will set up and monitor EDM machines, read operation sheets, manage paperwork, and contribute to process improvements while ensuring quality stamps.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of CNC/EDM experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and can use Mastercam or program directly from drawings. This safety-sensitive, on-site role reports to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating CNC/EDM machines.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/interpret operation sheets and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor EDM machines for jobs.
• Read and interpret operation sheets; perform scheduling as needed.
• Ensure routers, parameter sheets, and paperwork are signed off.
• Look for ways to improve existing jobs and develop new ones.
• Program EDM machines using Mastercam or from part drawings.
• Complete First Piece, In-Process, and Last Piece inspections.
