Job summary

BARNES Aerospace in West Chester, OH seeks an experienced EDM Operator to join the team. The role requires rapid learning, attention to detail, and strong analytical/problem solving abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will set up machines, read drawings, and ensure quality at each inspection stage while complying with safety and FAA/DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience operating CNC and EDM machines.
• Strong communication and professional interaction with all levels of employees.
• Safety sensitive position; compliance with FAA/DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor EDM/CNC machines to ensure proper operation.
• Read and interpret operations sheets and perform limited internal scheduling.
• Ensure routers, parameter sheets, and paperwork are signed off correctly.
• Improve existing jobs and develop new ones as needed.
• Program EDM machines using Mastercam or direct entry from drawings/DXF files.
• Complete First Piece, In-Process, and Last Piece Inspections and stamp quality.
