Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM to produce precision parts.
• Load materials and set up fixtures per work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Measure finished parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection tools.
• Monitor machine performance and perform basic adjustments.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Follow quality standards to meet specifications and tolerances.
• Record production measurements and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve issues.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EDM Machinist I to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in producing complex, high-precision aerospace components while supporting safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout the manufacturing process.

Position Summary

The EDM Machinist I is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining EDM equipment used to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. This position works under the guidance of experienced machinists and provides opportunities to develop skills in wire EDM, sinker EDM, small-hole EDM, blueprint reading, quality inspection, and precision machining. You will play a key role in supporting operational excellence through quality, productivity, safety, and documentation accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM machines to produce precision parts.
• Load materials and set up fixtures according to work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection tools.
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as required.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Follow quality standards to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
• Record production measurements and maintain accurate documentation.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

Qualifications

Experience, Education, and Training Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge, blueprint reading, measuring equipment use, and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Safely use hand tools and measuring equipment
• Wear required PPE.
