Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking an Editorial Manager (Business Disciplines) in Ohio, USA to lead content strategy, author recruitment, and cross-functional delivery of career-focused learning experiences. You will manage budgets, define development plans, and collaborate with Marketing, Research, and faculty to ensure timely, market-relevant content that drives student success.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in portfolio/product management, product development, sales, marketing, or other relevant management role.
BA or BS Degree required.
Strong strategic thinking and financial acumen.
Ability to partner with authors and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own the difficulty content strategy and roadmap, including new course entry investment proposals.
Manage portfolio content budget (P&L) and drive profitable content offerings.
Develop strategy for high-impact courses grounded in market knowledge and customer needs.
Evaluate data, financial metrics, customer feedback, and analytics to guide decisions.
Regularly analyze portfolio plans and adjust strategy as needed.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, high-quality learning experiences.
