  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, arts and sciences, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in a journalism, communications, research, policy, or events role.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills; ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Research ethics issues to expand initiative programs (Ethics and Journalism.org, resources and interviews).
  • Identify and develop curriculum for Ethics in Your Newsroom training; coordinate in-person and virtual sessions.
  • Identify entrants and manage Collier Awards for Ethics in Journalism; support annual awards ceremony and symposium.
  • Plan and support workshops and events, including topics, panelists, and promotion.
