Qualifications

• Four-year degree in English, editing, creative writing, communications, or equivalent.
• 1-4 years of experience in a fast-paced creative environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of English grammar, proofreading, and linguistic rules; Chicago Manual of Style preferred.
• Ability to edit copy, identify errors, and mark corrections.
• Experience using AI-based tools or resources in proofreading and editing.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for spelling, grammatical accuracy, and consistency across printed and electronic materials.
• Proofread and edit magazines, catalogs, brochures, packaging, promotional materials, online content, social media, and more.
• May also help write or rewrite items.
• Maintain consistency of brand and company style across product lines and materials.
• Collaborate with copywriters and graphic designers to create compelling copy and messages.
• May work with marketing personnel; basic understanding of marketing preferred.
