Job summary

Octus, a leading global provider of credit intelligence, data, and analytics, is seeking an Editorial Operations Associate based in New York. You will support Octus’ editorial team of lawyers, analysts, and journalists by monitoring coverage, scheduling events, and maintaining databases.

You will produce monthly digests, recaps, and company-specific pieces. You will report to the Senior Editorial Operations Manager and help create internal and client-facing content while collaborating with

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in Excel / Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with SQL a plus, but not required.
• Genuine interest in financial news, bankruptcy and credit markets.
• Experience with financial data and topics a plus, but not required.
• Enjoys creative problem-solving and looks to take on new challenges.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling and tracking of coverage events for major court cases.
• Maintain databases tracking data about key events and companies in Octus’ coverage universe.
• Liaise with court staff, freelancers and other third-party service providers.
• Monitor third-party content related to performing, distressed and high-yield companies.
• Produce internal and client-facing reports and content.
• Collaborate with operations and editorial staff to enhance processes and systems that drive content.
