Job summary

Ragan Communications seeks an experienced Editorial Lead of Conference Programming to create compelling content for conferences, webinars and training for virtual and live events. You will recruit speakers, write agendas, and develop engaging topics for communications professionals.

As a senior contributor, you will collaborate with staff and speakers to plan and host sessions, travel domestically 4–5 times a year, and help grow our learning programs within a vibrant events team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years producing content for live and/or virtual events.
• Minimum of 7 years of editorial/writing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle fast-moving projects.
• Ability to travel domestically 4-5x per year.

Responsibilities

• Write conference agendas that sell tickets and wow an audience.

Ragan Communications is seeking an experienced content creator and event producer to join our fast-growing events division as the Editorial Lead of our highly successful conferences and other learning programs. Apply your content skills to create content for conferences, webinars and training that resonate with Ragan audiences for virtual and live events. Core responsibilities:

• Recruit/liaise with industry experts as speakers for our live and virtual conferences, workshops and webinars.
• Write conference agendas that sell tickets and wow an audience.
• Become a subject matter expert to create highly engaging session topics and agendas that resonate with internal and external communications professionals alike.
• Take your agenda to the next level by working directly with your Ragan colleagues and relevant speakers to plan session(s), then moderate and host on the live or virtual stage.
  Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, media or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years producing content for live and/or virtual events.
• Minimum of 7 years of editorial/writing experience.
