Job summary

TEK Systems in New York, NY is seeking a contract editor/designer to curate editorial surfaces and craft concise UI/product copy for a large social technology partner. You will manage assets, brief partnerships on requirements, and ensure quality across multiple surfaces with an eye for legibility and brand standards.

The role requires expert editorial judgment, experience with image tooling, and the ability to work independently within a hybrid NYC environment.

Qualifications

• Experience curating an editorial surface at volume (apps, marketplaces, magazines, channels).
• Experience writing short-form UI and product copy to strict character counts, at high volume.

Responsibilities

• Own curation and ordering across the discovery surface with rationale.
• Define and hold the asset quality bar; evaluate submissions against specs.
• Brief partners on asset requirements and iterate briefs for quality improvements.
• Repair or produce assets when needed; recompose crops and rebuild marks to spec.
• Write surface copy to tight character limits and varied formats.
• Use generative tooling with clear judgment and proper labeling.
• Partner with design, product, and Partnerships on content systems and surfaces.
