Editor-in-Chief
Nanofabrication (2299-680X)

Position Overview

Eurasia Academic Publishing Group (EAPG) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced editor to lead our prestigious quarterly scientific journal,Nanofabrication (2299-680X) meets the growing demand for a place to publish top-notch science-engineering-focused materials and manufacturing research with a nanofabrication core. This journal has been indexed in WoS and Scopus with an IF of 2.0 for 2024.

As the Editor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and relevance of the published content. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire editorial process, from manuscript submission to publication, and will work closely with authors, reviewers, and the editorial board. This position requires exceptional scientific expertise, strategic focus, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to advancing knowledge in the fields covered.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Editorial Strategy and Vision:
  • Work with EAPG leadership to develop and execute a strategic vision for the journal, keeping it at the forefront of the EAPG portfolio and the areas of scientific research it covers.
  • Identify emerging areas of scientific interest and devise strategies to attract high-quality submissions in those areas.
  • Stay informed about the latest scientific trends, research breakthroughs, and industry developments.
  • Manuscript Evaluation and Selection:
    • Oversee the timely and rigorous evaluation of all submitted manuscripts.
    • Coordinate the peer-review process, ensuring fair and constructive feedback for authors.
    • Make final decisions on manuscript acceptance, rejection, or revision based on the recommendations of reviewers and the journal's scope.
  • Editorial Board Management:
    • Recruit and manage a diverse slate of editorial board members and reviewers.
    • Foster effective communication, collaboration, and engagement among the editorial team.
    • Ensure that all editorial board members adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain high editorial standards.
  • Content Development and Selection:
    • Work closely with authors, reviewers, and the editorial team to ensure the publication of high-quality, accurate, and impactful scientific articles.
    • Collaborate with authors to improve the clarity, structure, and scientific rigor of their manuscripts.
    • Commission review articles and other editorial matter in order to provide comprehensive coverage of important topics.
  • Journal Promotion and Outreach:
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase the visibility, reputation, and impact of the journal.
    • Generate an annual Journal Development Report, updating EAPG leadership on elements such as CiteScore, SJR, SNIP, Altmetric, marketing, submissions, peer review, and author satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the journal through various channels, including social media, conferences, and partnerships.
    • Engage with the scientific community by attending conferences, giving presentations, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Work to ensure that this journal develops with influence and quality.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Ph.D. in a material science related to the scope of the journal.
    • Proven experience in scientific publishing, preferably as an editor or associate editor.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of the scientific publishing landscape, including open access and peer-review practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth editorial workflows and meet publication deadlines.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and other stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with ethical considerations and best practices in scientific publishing, including research integrity and publication ethics.
