Job summary

Wiley in the Education portfolio seeks an Editor-in-Chief to drive strategic development of journals in educational research and related fields. You will leverage your international networks, oversee peer review, and ensure ethical publishing practices while shaping policy and vision.

This role requires a PhD, strong communication, and the ability to build partnerships with researchers, institutions, and conferences.

Qualifications

PhD in educational research with strong background in educational contexts.
Experience handling manuscripts through peer review and ethics.
Experience commissioning topics and guiding authors through to submission.
Strong global networks within research communities.
Excellent written and verbal English; strong stakeholder relationships.
Ability to collaborate and influence across teams.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Drive high-quality submissions by leveraging international networks for Education portfolio.
Strategically develop one or more journals within the Education portfolio.
Build and maintain a global network of authors, reviewers, editors.
Represent Wiley at conferences and outreach activities.
Oversee editorial evaluation, peer review, and decision-making.
Collaborate with editorial colleagues to foster a high-performance team.
Work with management to establish a culture of trust and achievement.
