Denison Ministries is a Christian media and discipleship organization that equips followers of Jesus Christ with biblical truth, empowering them to think critically, live faithfully, and serve intentionally. Across its family of ministries, the organization generates more than 100 million content experiences annually.

As Denison Ministries enters its next chapter, this leader will have the opportunity to help shape a growing, multi-voice approach to helping Christians engage current events and culture with clarity, wisdom, and hope.

This is more than a traditional Editor-in-Chief role. It is a builder opportunity. This leader will help shape editorial vision, determine coverage priorities, develop new content offerings, recruit influential voices, and build the team and systems necessary to expand Denison Ministries' reach and impact.

What You’ll Lead
  • Set and execute the editorial vision and strategy for Denison Ministries' news and cultural content.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, collaborative, Christ-centered editorial team.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop exceptional journalists, writers, theologians, subject-matter experts, hosts, and contributors.
  • Drive editorial innovation across newsletters, podcasts, video, social content, and emerging digital formats.
  • Build newsroom processes and standards that increase content output while protecting quality, accuracy, and theological faithfulness.
  • Establish strong standards for sourcing, fact-checking, ethics, and journalistic integrity.
  • Partner with executive leadership, marketing, and digital teams to grow the ministry's reach and influence.
Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate combines journalistic credibility, strong biblical and theological grounding, and entrepreneurial leadership.

Candidates should bring:
  • A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with Denison Ministries' statement of faith and mission.
  • 10+ years of journalism and editorial experience, including significant news media experience.
  • 5+ years of senior editorial leadership.
  • Experience leading high-performing editorial teams and building scalable processes.
  • Exceptional news judgment and a strong understanding of journalistic ethics, sourcing, and accuracy.
  • Experience growing content across multiple digital platforms.
  • Strong biblical and theological grounding with the ability to thoughtfully engage news and culture.
  • The ability to identify, recruit, and develop credible contributors and influential voices.
  • A leadership style marked by humility, conviction, compassion, civility, clarity, and courage.
