Job summary

Healthcare Dive is seeking an editor to shape coverage for our daily and semi-weekly publications. You will identify, edit and write stories on healthcare topics, including policy shifts, hospital consolidation and AI impacts, reporting to the senior managing editor.

The role is hybrid, based in Washington, DC, and may connect to other Informa TechTarget offices. Prior newsroom experience and strong editing/writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Has editing, writing and reporting experience in journalism or related field.
• Demonstrates strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to edit different formats: breaking news, briefs and long-form trend stories.
• Works well in a collaborative team and can workshop headlines and stories.

Responsibilities

• Identify, edit and write daily stories and features on healthcare topics.
• Plan and execute big projects with the team and cultivate sources.
• Pitch stories and develop beat coverage on issues like ACA changes, AI, policies.
• Build relationships with sources and report on complex healthcare themes.
