Job summary

Dude Perfect, LLC is seeking an Editor for Dude Perfect Outdoors (DPO) to assemble, refine, and deliver high-energy edits that capture the channel’s adventurous vibe. You will own end-to-end editing from ingest to final delivery in a fast-paced YouTube-first environment.

You will collaborate with Creative Directors and Producers to maintain the channel’s voice, pacing, and visual style across videos, ensuring quality and consistency for a broad audience.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional editing experience in digital media, sports, entertainment, or high-concept YouTube-first content.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an Editor to support Dude Perfect’s post-production team, assigned specifically to Dude Perfect Outdoors (DPO). This role will be responsible for assembling, refining, and delivering high-quality edits that capture the energy, adventure, and personality of the channel and the Dude Perfect brand.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced YouTube production environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing full edits independently, from ingest and organization through final delivery. They understand YouTube pacing, unscripted storytelling, and competition-style formats, and can craft compelling and engaging narratives.

As the editor dedicated to DPO, this role carries the look, pacing, and voice of the channel from video to video, and will build a deep familiarity with its formats, cast, and audience.

This role will collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Producers, and the Production Manager to ensure every video meets the highest standard of quality and performance.

The Editor - DPO will report directly to the Lead Editor of DPO.

Initial Responsibilities

• Edit compelling outdoor and adventure content for Dude Perfect Outdoors from first assembly through final delivery.
• Shape pacing, tone, and structure to maximize engagement and retention.
• Maintain clarity and storytelling continuity across multi-camera formats.
• Maintain a consistent look and editorial voice across the DPO channel.
• Partner closely with Creative Directors and Producers to translate concepts into compelling edits.
• Incorporate feedback efficiently while meeting delivery timelines.
• Communicate proactively about post-production needs and project statuses.
• Work with the DPO production team to flag coverage gaps and capture needs ahead of upcoming shoots.

Workflow, Quality, and Other

• Manage project organization, media ingestion, and file structure.
• Maintain adherence to post-production workflows, asset management standards, and style guidelines.
• Ensure final deliverables meet technical specifications and platform requirements.
• Uphold consistent editorial quality aligned with the Dude Perfect brand and standards.
• All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements

• 3-5+ years of professional editing experience in digital media, sports, entertainment, or high-concept YouTube-first content.
• Proven ability to independently manage full edits from ingest through final delivery.
• Strong understanding of long-form YouTube pacing, retention mechanics, and audience engagement.
• Experience editing unscripted, competition-based content strongly preferred.
• Comfort working with multi-camera productions.
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive feedback.
• Genuine interest in or familiarity with outdoor content and adventure formats.
• Comfort cutting footage captured in the field, including action cameras and variable natural light.
• Experience working within fast-paced, high-output content teams.

Location: This position is located onsite at Dude Perfect HQ3 offices in Frisco, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex)
