Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Job Title Editor, Allrecipes

Allrecipes, the number one food site on the internet, is looking for an Editor to join its team. The role will work to develop new article content across breaking news and evergreen food content - writing, editing, and building new stories in the CMS; ensuring factual accuracy; performing rewrites as needed; and otherwise confirming that copy is clean and correct. Occasionally, assigning content to writers will be required.

Remote In-office Expectations: This position is fully remote with no in-office requirements (might require coming into an office 1 or 2x a year).

About the Position’s Contributions

• 50%: Pitch, brainstorm, and write new article ideas
• 20%: Edit, produce, and publish articles for our new content team
• 20%: Attend content meetings as needed
• 10%: Occasionally assign articles to staff and/or freelance writers

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience: At least 3 years experience writing and editing in the food and beverage space, preferably for a digital brand
• Experience in the news space, especially editing experience, strongly preferred
• Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of cooking, recipes, and different kinds of cuisines
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Knowledge of and experience in implementing SEO best practices
• You're able to easily adopt an established brand voice, and you adhere to strict brand and style guidelines like a pro

Salary

Pay Range Salary: Remote: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
