Job summary

TEGNA Inc. is seeking a full-time Video Editor for KXTV-TV Sacramento to craft captivating content for TV, social, and digital platforms. You will edit for newscasts under tight deadlines, using graphics, viewer photos, and webcam interviews to enhance storytelling.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS preferred, strong non-linear editing skills (EDIUS, Premiere, Photoshop), and excellent communication. You must be deadline‑oriented and able to work early mornings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred.
• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop.
• Interest in broadcast and digital news content.
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules.
• Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

KXTV-TV Sacramento , the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Sacramento is looking for a full-time Video Editor to join our team.

The ideal candidate is proficient at creating captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms.

You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy and can work under tight deadlines.

We are looking for individuals who possess a keen artistic eye, a deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.

Pay Range

$24.04—$27.41 USD
