Job summary

TEGNA Inc.'s KXTV ABC10 in Sacramento seeks a full-time Visual Journalist & Storyteller to produce in-depth, issues-focused content for broadcast and digital platforms, including longform and investigative pieces.

You’ll shoot, edit, and manage multiple assignments, collaborate with a team, operate IP live units, and contribute ideas in editorial meetings while maintaining high quality under deadline pressure.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a newsroom environment preferred.
• BA/BS in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems.
• Working knowledge of Premiere, Adobe Suite, and Edius.
• A dependable, flexible team player who can work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly in live, breaking news situations.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., and occasionally up to 80 lbs., with or without accommodation.

the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Sacramento, is looking for a full-time Visual Journalist & Storyteller to join the team behind our in-depth, issues-focused program, “To the Point with Alex Bell.” This is a great opportunity for an experienced photojournalist who thrives on collaboration, loves strong storytelling, and wants to help produce compelling longform and investigative content for broadcast and digital audiences.

What You’ll Do

Pay Range

$26.38—$32.22 USD
