CGS is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to join our team supporting the legal organization within a large Federal agency.

Skills And Attributes For Success
  • Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
  • Digest the cover letter (which may be several pages long) and provide a brief description of the production.
  • If the media received is encrypted and no password is provided, call the producing party to obtain the password.
  • Determine if the cover letter contains substantive information that would qualify it for loading into Relativity.
  • Virus scan the production off-network, using multiple virus protection software and other tools.
  • If issues are detected, follow protocol to address the issue or reject the production.
  • Once the production is virus-free, copy it to the Agency's network.
  • Follow specific protocols when handling various document types, such as whistleblower, RFPA, MOU, international, BSA, audio files, transcripts, laptops, or paper.
  • Analyze productions to determine required processing and protocols.
  • Ensure data completeness and inspect load-ready data for all components.
  • Coordinate scanning of large paper productions off-site.
  • Monitor for incoming productions via email and FTP.
  • Scan and OCR small paper documents for Relativity loading.
Qualifications
  • At least three years of eDiscovery technical experience supporting project tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree; additional relevant work experience can substitute for education.
  • Knowledge of information resources and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
  • Experience with government software policies and procedures.
  • Client-facing communication experience.
  • Federal security clearance.
