Join to apply for the eDiscovery Associate, Legal Holds role at UnitedLex.

UnitedLex is excited to hire an eDiscovery Associate to support the Legal Hold Team of a multinational client! The Associate will support system, analytical, and business process execution for both Legal Hold (LH) and eDiscovery Information Governance (IG) programs. Specific responsibilities include data analysis and generating custom reports; system testing and validation; developing, coordinating, and executing legal hold processes; and maintaining documentation. The position involves routine engagement with eDiscovery Leadership, attorneys, paralegals, records management professionals, external contractors, vendors, and information technology associates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support execution and continuous program improvement of LH and IG program activities and processes, emphasizing a client-centric approach while maintaining confidentiality.
  2. Review and respond to legal hold inquiries, perform keyword searches, and report results.
  3. Research and analyze data, support development of legal hold distribution lists, and assist with reporting.
  4. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system performance and data issues.
  5. Assist in vendor meetings, system issue resolution, and system enhancements.
  6. Support UAT for system updates, including testing and reporting findings.
  7. Partner with IT to ensure data quality and develop new capabilities.
  8. Execute recurring processes related to legal hold notices and notifications.
  9. Maintain and develop legal hold and IG documentation.
  10. Support identifying non-custodial data sources for legal holds.
  11. Prepare and deliver data summaries and presentations.
  12. Analyze data and generate reports to inform operational improvements.
  13. Implement process efficiencies using automation tools.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of company processes and protocols.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, legal, or IT fields.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in legal or litigation technology settings.
  • Strong data analytics skills for data organization and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros/VBA).
  • Experience with reporting tools like Tableau or Cognos.
  • UAT experience is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range is $50,000 to $53,000, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus, depending on experience and organizational needs.
