Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a talented Full Stack Developer (Edifecs Lead) for a 100% U.S.-based remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The position requires 10+ years in EDI/healthcare with strong Edifecs and AWS experience.

You will lead the Edifecs platform, guide architecture decisions, manage staff, and drive roadmap execution while collaborating with product, architecture, and security teams. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in EDI/healthcare or enterprise applications with AWS experience.
• Master's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Edifecs Platform Manager leading the Edifecs application support organization, ensuring operational stability, scalability, compliance, and strategic alignment.
• Provide technical oversight, manage staffing, and drive roadmap execution.
• Partner with product, architecture, vendor, and business teams.
• Guide architecture decisions, modernization efforts, cloud scalability, and performance strategies.
• Configure and maintain XEServer, XEngine, TPMs, SpecBuilder, and related modules.
• Guide EDI Analysts with building, deployment, and optimization of Edifecs processing rules, routing logic, and batch workflows.
• Analyze and resolve mapping issues, validation failures, functional errors, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage system logging, JVM tuning, and certificate/keystore configurations.
• Support release deployments, environment refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps Engineers, Cloud teams, and business teams.
