Job summary

PrismHR is seeking a System Operations Specialist - EDI to serve as the bridge between clients, insurers, and internal teams. You will plan, configure, and maintain EDI connections powering benefits enrollment, payroll deductions, and related data feeds.

The role blends facilitation, administration, and end-to-end project management from scoping through testing to go-live. Strong client-facing ability and technical fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CS/IT or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in EDI, benefits administration, HRIS/HR tech, or related client-facing roles.
• Working knowledge of EDI formats and ANSI X12 834.
• Experience in multi-state or PEO environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for EDI onboarding and ongoing support.
• Lead kickoff, status, and troubleshooting calls between clients, carriers, and internal teams.
• Translate technical EDI requirements into clear, non-technical guidance for client and carrier contacts.
• Train client administrators on EDI processes, file review, and issue-reporting procedures.
• Own EDI implementations end to end: scoping, timeline development, milestone tracking, testing, and go-live.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to keep implementations on schedule.
• Communicate project status, risks, and open issues to clients and internal leadership.
• Attend on-site when required for secure access and collaboration.
