Job summary

Publix Super Markets Technology in Lakeland, FL, seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support EDI solutions enabling reliable data exchanges across Publix stores and partners.

You will work across the SDLC to analyze requirements, develop and test mappings, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements for production systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years hands-on software development or integration experience with enterprise applications.
• 3+ years EDI development experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting EDI maps and partner integrations.
• 3+ years working with enterprise databases and SQL to research data and support issues.
• Experience with EDI standards and formats including X12 and partner mappings.
• Experience configuring trading partner profiles, protocols, routing, and production workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting for EDI failures including mapping and translation issues.
• Ability to collaborate with business areas, vendors, QA and infrastructure teams.
• Experience in SDLC and post-implementation support.
• Willing to work with on-call or after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support EDI maps and integration components.
• Create and maintain EDI mapping specifications and transformation logic.
• Configure trading partner profiles, certificates, routing rules, and schedules.
• Onboard vendors and trading partners, coordinate testing, and production changes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot EDI failures, data issues, and communication problems.
• Monitor EDI transactions and ensure timely processing across applications.
• Collaborate with business areas, vendors, QA, infrastructure, and development teams.
• Provide root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions and monitoring.
