Job summary

Shipwell is seeking an experienced EDI Engineer to design, build, and maintain EDI integrations that connect our systems with trading partners. You will map, test, and troubleshoot EDI transactions, collaborating with internal engineers and external vendors to deliver scalable, reliable data exchange across the lifecycle.

You will work with platforms like Orderful, Sterling, SPS Commerce, and TIE Kinetix, and integrate EDI with ERP/WMS systems such as NetSuite and SAP.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building, and supporting EDI integrations in production
• Strong knowledge of EDI standards (X12/EDIFACT) and core transaction sets (e.g., 204, 990, 214, 210)
• Hands-on experience with EDI integration platforms and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, VAN)
• Experience integrating EDI with ERP/WMS systems (NetSuite, SAP, Celigo, HighJump)
• Ability to map, test, and troubleshoot EDI maps and partner connections
• Experience with SFTP onboarding and carrier integrations, including credential setup and testing
• Strong debugging skills and ability to trace data issues across systems
• Ability to produce technical docs like mapping specs and troubleshooting guides
• Self-motivated and collaborative across internal teams and partners
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman) and data validation
