Job summary

Buchanan Hauling and Rigging, Inc. is seeking an EDI Developer in Fort Wayne, IN to build and maintain electronic data interchange templates and ensure accurate data exchange with customers and partners.

You will troubleshoot EDI issues, use SQL to validate data, and work with internal teams to improve processes. This role reports to the Director of IT and emphasizes collaboration and data integrity.

Qualifications

• EDI and SQL experience required.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience with McLeod or another Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Building, updating, and maintaining EDI templates based on customer specifications.
• Establishing and supporting EDI connections with customers and business partners.
• Troubleshooting EDI errors, identifying root causes, and preventing recurring issues.
• Using SQL to validate data and ensure accurate EDI configurations.
• Testing EDI transactions to ensure information is transmitted correctly.
• Maintaining documentation for EDI setups, mapping changes, and issue resolution.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline processes.
