Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years EDI/transport/software experience.
  • 6+ years EDI/transport/software experience if no degree.
  • Experience providing customers with technical (hardware/software) support.
  • Experience reading EDI data and using FTP/SFTP clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and train on EDI transaction sets (204, 990, 997, 214, 210, 322, 824).
  • Work with customers and internal teams through the project lifecycle to answer questions and test.
  • Consult with customers to discuss deficiencies and possible enhancements to the EDI interfaces.
  • Assist with EDI installs for new project rollouts, upgrades, and releases.
  • Review EDI logs and recovery entries to resolve errors and identify training opportunities.
  • Train new hires and customers; occasional travel to train onsite.

Purpose of the Role

The EDI Coordinator II ensures successful implementation, support, and optimization of EDI solutions for McLeod customers. By configuring transaction sets, supporting communication protocols, and resolving technical issues, this role plays a vital part in delivering a seamless integration experience that enables our customers to operate efficiently and strengthens the overall value of McLeod’s EDI Engine.

Key Accountabilities
  • Install, test, and train EDI 204, 990, 997, 214, 210, 322, and 824 transaction sets through McLeod’s CustomerFusion Module // web environments of LoadMaster or PowerBroker.
  • Work with internal teams, customers, and trading partners through the project lifecycle to answer questions, make recommendations, test, and provide EDI Support.
  • Consult with internal and external customers to discuss and resolve deficiencies, discuss possible modifications, and train on enhancements to the EDI application and EDI interfaces.
  • Assist with installation of EDI for new project rollouts, upgrades, and new releases to EDI software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI application issues escalated by customer support and other departments.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot the following forms of Communication: VAN, FTP, SFTP, and AS2.
  • Assist internal EDI groups with EDI installs, testing, and training.
  • Review EDI log files, transaction reports, and recovery entries via database tools to resolve any outstanding errors and identify both internal and external training opportunities.
  • Train new hires on processes and procedures.
  • Train customers and business prospects.
  • Occasional Travel to train Customers onsite.
  • Work with customers to obtain specifications and requirements for modifications or product enhancements to be used by the EDI Programmers for new transaction sets or existing transaction sets in compliance with SDLC.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s with 2+ year of EDI, transportation, or software industry experience, required or High school degree or equivalent and 6+ year of EDI, transportation, or software industry experience, required.
  • At least one year of experience providing customers with technical (hardware, software) support, preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with customer orders, shipment statuses, and invoices, a plus.
  • Experience training customers or end users in the use of software, preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Windows OS, a plus.
  • Experience reading and interpreting EDI Raw Data, WinSCP, FileZilla, or other open-source clients supporting FTP and/or SFTP, preferred.
