Job Description

The purpose of the EDI Analyst is to analyze, support, and maintain all EDI activities between internal users, customers, distributors, software partners, and EDI VAN providers. This position collaborates with the Information Technology Group, EDI Managed Services, Customer Support, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and internal support users to ensure seamless processing of all EDI transactions within Backyard Products.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as liaison between IT development staff, EDI Managed Services, systems analysts, business subject matter experts, provider business office staff, and third-party administrators to implement EDI transactions efficiently and cost-effectively.
2. Lead all EDI communication between internal users, external trading partners, and communication network providers.
3. Troubleshoot communication issues with trading and transportation partners, including setting up new partners, testing data maps, and monitoring system status.
4. Participate in testing new application software upgrades.
5. Collaborate with distributors, customers, and third-party vendors to implement new EDI processes and enhance existing ones.
6. Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and customer service quality.
7. Support analysis and testing of transaction implementations and EDI standards mapping.
8. Apply EDI knowledge to claims, payments, eligibility, and financial systems in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an EDI Analyst.
• Knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPivot, Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks with tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability in ambiguous situations.
• Knowledge of Edifact and ANSI X12 file specifications (850, 855, 856, 810, 864, etc.).

This position is Monday – Friday, 7 am – 4 pm, with four days in the office and remote work on Friday. Located in Monroe or Ann Arbor, MI.
