Job summary

Glocomms is partnered with a household name in the beauty retail industry to identify an EDI Analyst responsible for supporting and optimizing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations across a complex supply chain environment, ensuring seamless data exchange between internal systems, external trading partners, and third-party providers.

This role is part of a hybrid work model and onsite in Bolingbrook, IL six days per month, supporting ERP integrations and data governance initiatives to

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise EDI environments within retail, consumer goods, supply chain, or related industries.
  • Hands-on experience with EDI platforms such as OpenText, IBM Sterling, or comparable solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards and formats, including X12, XML, IDOC, positional files, and delimited files.
  • Experience supporting EDI mappings, integrations, workflows, and trading partner onboarding activities.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or other enterprise ERP platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of supply chain business processes, particularly Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflows.
  • Experience supporting integrations with trading partners and third-party EDI service providers.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and data quality controls.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, support, and troubleshoot EDI transactions across multiple business-critical workflows and integrations.
  • Manage and maintain EDI mappings, workflows, and integrations to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange.
  • Support EDI platforms including OpenText and IBM Sterling, resolving transaction errors and system issues.
  • Analyze and validate EDI documents and formats including X12, XML, IDOC, positional files, and delimited files.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, trading partners, and third-party providers to implement new EDI integrations and enhancements.
  • Partner with ERP teams to support EDI processes integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Utilize Excel, SQL, and BI tools to analyze transaction data, identify trends, and develop operational reporting.
  • Manage EDI ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and partner onboarding activities.
  • Support data governance initiatives by maintaining data quality standards, controls, and documentation.
  • Contribute to ongoing optimization of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) EDI ecosystem and broader supply chain processes.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical EDI expertise, data analysis capabilities, and business process knowledge to support critical retail and supply chain functions. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with employees required onsite in Bolingbrook, IL six days per month.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Monitor, support, and troubleshoot EDI transactions across multiple business-critical workflows and integrations.
