Job summary

Equiniti in Woburn, MA is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to lead Akamai CDN/WAF and edge security. You will architect, automate, and operate scalable, secure services and partner across engineering, security, and DevOps.

The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and incident response, with a hybrid work model offering in-person collaboration and flexibility to work from home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years in Site Reliability/Platform/DevOps roles.
• 3+ years managing Akamai CDN and WAF in large-scale enterprises.
• Experience automating infra with Terraform and APIs.
• Strong cloud experience with Azure and AWS.
• Experience designing CI/CD & GitOps workflows.
• Strong scripting in C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting exposure.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS, and edge security solutions.
• Automate Akamai configurations using Terraform and APIs.
• Develop self-service capabilities for developers to provision edge resources.
• Establish SRE practices: observability, metrics, SLIs/SLOs, incident response.
• Collaborate with security to improve edge security governance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
