Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Edge Offer Manager to define and drive the Brightlayer Edge roadmap for connected hardware and edge compute across our industrial portfolio. The role can be based at Beachwood, OH; Menomonee Falls, WI; Moon Township, PA; or Raleigh, NC, with 10-25% travel.

You will own epics/backlogs and collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and product teams to meet OT reliability and security goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product management, platform strategy, or systems engineering.
• Experience delivering connected products, embedded systems, or edge platforms in industrial environments.
• US-based candidates: no immigration sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Own the Brightlayer Edge technology roadmap, aligned with Eaton’s digital and hardware product strategies.
• Define how connected hardware, edge software, and cloud services work together within the Brightlayer architecture.
• Establish a clear point of view on what runs at the edge vs software (on-prem or cloud), and why, across use cases.
• Define and evolve core Brightlayer Edge capabilities, including device connectivity and industrial protocols, secure onboarding, data normalization, edge analytics, and edge AI/ML inference.
• Partner with hardware/firmware teams to ensure new Eaton products are Brightlayer Ready by design.
• Translate product strategy into reference architectures and platform components with Brightlayer architecture teams.
• Drive alignment across Edge, Connectivity, Cloud, Applications to reduce fragmentation.
• Ensure edge capabilities meet OT reliability, latency, and security requirements.
• Own epics and backlogs for Brightlayer Edge; track roadmap execution and dependencies.
• Define and track success metrics: adoption, reuse, time-to-market, and security posture at the edge.
