Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring a Software Engineer for the Workers Deploy & Config team in the United States. You will build scalable systems to deploy, configure, and manage Workers globally, enabling everything from simple static sites to complex full‑stack apps.

Bring deep Go production experience and a strong background in distributed systems, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana, and Kubernetes to craft reliable, high‑performance services that power the company’s developer platform.

Qualifications

• Experience using Go in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and scalable software design.
• Proficiency with SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and API design.
• Experience with Kubernetes or similar deployment tools.
• Ability to drive projects from concept to release and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants with good judgment to review code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features and services within the Workers control plane.
• Improve the platform’s performance, availability, and scalability.
• Design resilient storage schemas and I/O patterns for long-term growth.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions for foundational capabilities.
• Own production reliability, including on-call rotation participation.
• Partner with Product Managers and customers to translate problems into scalable solutions.
• Drive projects independently from requirements through implementation, testing, and release.
• Share knowledge and mentor interns and junior engineers.
• Research, prototype, and introduce new technologies when they solve meaningful problems.
