Job summary

Applied Intuition Defense is seeking a Perception Engineer to advance perception models across maritime, land, air-to-surface and related domains. You will develop, optimize, and deploy models on Jetson-like hardware, building tooling for labeling and simulation, and collaborating with top AI talent within the Applied Intuition ecosystem.

• MS or PhD in Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, CS or equivalent OR 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop perception models with low error rate (<1/100).
• Deploy models to Jetson Orin+ boards with real-time performance.
• Build large foundation models for data labeling.
• Create and maintain tools across the perception stack (labeling, simulation).
• Collaborate with hardware, sensor, tracking, autonomy, and testing teams for DoD demonstrations.
