Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer to own and advance the cookie and consent management plugin across global properties. You will own the technical delivery from definition through final delivery, shaping the architecture and driving cross-team standardization for reliability and privacy compliance.

You will lead high-stakes consent/compliance rollouts, mentor peers, and collaborate with program managers to ensure successful outcomes from kickoff to deployment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development at a senior level.
• Deep hands-on experience with C and C++, Python, and WASM toolchains.
• Experience with high-performance HTTP proxies (ATS/Nginx) and CDNs.
• Proven ownership of mission-critical, globally deployed systems and CI/CD quality gates.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of the cookie and consent management plugin across all properties.
• Lead the design and architecture of medium-to-large components and establish standardized patterns.
• Act as technical lead for high-risk consent/compliance rollouts impacting advertising revenue and legal requirements.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap and operational excellence of the system.
• Mentor peers and translate complex privacy/legal requirements to technical teams.
• Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to ensure project success from kickoff to delivery.
