Job summary

Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Front-End & AdTech Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Engineering team in New York, NY. The role focuses on reliability of Vue 3 apps, headless WordPress, and AdStack, balancing monetization with Core Web Vitals.

You will own edge delivery, CI/CD pipelines, Cloudflare, GCP, and OpenTelemetry, collaborating with product and dev teams to reduce latency and outages.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or performance-focused engineering.
• Strong Vue 3 (Composition API) experience and build tooling (Vite).
• Deep WordPress architecture knowledge and WP REST API/GraphQL.
• Hands-on in Cloudflare, Workers, and GCP (Cloud Run, GKE).
• Terraform, Prebid.js, and GAM familiarity; OpenTelemetry experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to architect and maintain Cloudflare CDN capabilities.
• Build and deploy serverless edge solutions with Cloudflare Workers.
• Own zero-downtime CI/CD pipelines for Vue 3 apps and WordPress.
• Manage GCP infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency.
• Optimize ad monetization via Prebid.js while minimizing latency.
• Implement OpenTelemetry for end-to-end tracing and performance metrics.
• Lead blameless post-mortems for performance degradations and outages.
