Job summary

Rite-Hite Digital Solutions Inc. is seeking a Device and Edge Software Architect to define and guide architecture for device-level, embedded, and edge software supporting connected industrial products.

You will partner with product, engineering, and digital teams to translate requirements into scalable platforms, with a focus on security, lifecycle management, and high-quality user experiences including IoT-enabled mobile applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded systems, firmware, device software, edge computing, or IoT-connected mobile ecosystems.
• Experience in architectural design or technical leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards for device, embedded, edge, and mobile-connected software.
• Drive AI/ML strategy, data feedback loops, model lifecycle management, and secure AI practices.
• Guide architectural decisions for embedded compute, edge processing, sensors, and mobile-enabled workflows.
• Promote reuse and consistency of software components across devices, edge platforms, and hybrid apps.
• Ensure secure-by-design principles, safety, and compliance in architecture reviews.
