Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks an embedded software engineer to support design, development, and validation of software for embedded and cloud edge systems. You will analyze user needs, implement small features, and participate in testing and integration to meet project timelines.

The role requires 1–3 years in C/C++, plus experience with debugging APIs and automation scripts in PERL/Python. Strong architecture fundamentals and ability to thrive in a matrixed organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ with 1-3 years of hands-on experience.
• 1+ years debugging software API and tooling.
• 1+ years developing PERL/Python scripts for automation.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture fundamentals.
• Experience navigating a large matrixed organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development, creation, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements.
• Design and implement small software features for products and systems.
• Participate in design, coding for small features, unit testing, and minor debugging.
• Assist in code reviews, regression tests, and triaging issues to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with project team to achieve objectives.
• Write technical documentation for software projects.
