Job summary

Clayton is seeking an Edge Band Operator to run edge banding machinery for MDF and laminate panels. You will apply PVC/wood veneer edging, set machine parameters, and verify finished edges according to job specs.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of edge banding experience, familiarity with Homag/Biesse, and basic shop-drawings interpretation. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and a focus on quality and safety in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. required; actually high school diploma or GED is required with trade school preferred.
• 1–2 years in edge banding with MDF/laminate materials.
• Familiar with Homag or Biesse machines and glue systems EVA or PUR.

Responsibilities

• Operate edge banding machines and monitor quality of edges.
• Set up parameters for MDF/laminate processing.
• Read shop drawings and verify specs for each job.
• Inspect panels for defects and ensure clean finishes.
• Maintain and adjust equipment; follow safety procedures.
