Job summary

Archangel Autonomy Ltd seeks a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to bring AI to the tactical edge. You will adapt and deploy vision and language models for efficiency, working directly with users and traveling to customer sites to build rapid solutions.

You’ll leverage Python, Docker, PyTorch, and cutting-edge frameworks while collaborating across software, hardware, and operations teams in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Eng, Math, Physics, ML, or equivalent.
• Strong Python skills; Java or C++ also valuable.
• Experience Linux environments and deploying AI models.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings or similar AI systems.
• Solid ML foundation: evaluation, training, decomposition.
• Familiar with Docker, CI/CD, logging, testing and field diagnostics.
• Able to travel up to 30% for field work.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and deploy state-of-the-art AI for edge devices at customer sites.
• Collaborate with users to rapidly build solutions in challenging environments.
• Work across software, hardware, UI, and operations teams to own features end-to-end.
