Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Embedded System Software Engineer - Platform SW Execution Lead to drive SoC and platform bring-up for edge AI products from concept to production. You will own the execution plan, coordinate cross-functional teams, and build low-level Linux software, including bootloaders and drivers, for NVIDIA edge platforms.

The role requires deep expertise in Linux kernel development, CPU/SoC architectures, and hardware debugging, plus strong project management and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus substantial industry experience in system/embedded software.
• 12+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience managing SoC or complex board/platform bring-up in a technical lead role for edge/embedded Linux products.
• Expert proficiency in Linux system and kernel development: C/C++ with kernel, drivers, BSPs, and boot sequences.
• Deep understanding of CPU/SoC architectures, memory/power subsystems, high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR).
• Hardware-aware debugging using JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and lab instrumentation.
• Experience with factory and manufacturing processes for embedded/edge devices; improve test/yield via software.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, shell) for automation and tooling around bring-up and provisioning.
• Exceptional project/program management: execution plans, dashboards, schedules, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead SoC and platform bring-up for edge AI platforms, owning the execution plan and success criteria.
• Define and drive end-to-end platform Linux software roadmap for edge devices.
• Build and debug low-level Linux system software and reference images for edge SoCs and boards.
• Serve as technical program owner for platform SW bring-up with regular reviews and risk tracking.
• Collaborate with hardware, silicon, validation, and factory teams to resolve hardware/software issues.
• Develop factory test/provisioning software and tooling for high-volume manufacturing.
• Analyze lab/factory/field data to improve platform stability and test strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and scale the team's Linux bring-up capabilities.
