Job summary

ZEDEDA Inc. is seeking a curious, entry-level Software Engineer in San Jose, CA. The role sits at the intersection of AI and cloud-native infrastructure, focusing on edge orchestration and production-ready AI pipelines.

Ideal candidates have up to two years of industry experience or a recent degree. You’ll design, implement, and extend Kubernetes-based components, work with ONNX/GenAI, and leverage AI coding tools in daily development to ship features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational ML concepts and model lifecycle experience.
• Familiarity with ONNX, GenAI, or ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Practical exposure to Kubernetes, pods, deployments, services, namespaces, controllers; k3s a plus.
• Git basics, PRs, and diff-based collaboration in a team.
• Ability to work with vague problems and drive toward clarity independently.
• Linux commands and shell scripting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Bridge AI model lifecycle management with Kubernetes-based edge orchestration.
• Build Kubernetes controllers, operators, and CRDs for AI workload scheduling at the edge.
• Work with ONNX, GenAI, and ML models in production-ready pipelines and edge environments.
• Use AI coding agents as part of daily development workflow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features end-to-end.
• Contribute to ZEDEDA's platform-related open-source components.
• Write and maintain Helm charts for deploying services into Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
