General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist Journeyman to turn data into measurable outcomes for challenging defense analytics.

You will power innovation to support USCENTCOM's mission in a secure, on-premise and hybrid environment, with a focus on AI/ML model development and deployment. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, design edge-ready ML solutions, and lead MLOps using MLflow, DVC, Kubeflow, Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring DoD security

Competenze

• Strong experience with Python and open-source ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM).
• Experience with data management for large-scale data systems.
• Ability to translate end-user requirements into analytics in SIEM, AI/ML solutions.
• Experience deploying models in on-prem or air-gapped environments using Docker/Kubernetes/Podman.
• Hands-on knowledge of MLOps toolchains (MLflow, DVC, Kubeflow), Git, and secure DevSecOps.
• Experience with model optimization and conversion (ONNX, TensorRT, OpenVINO) for edge deployment.
• Proven ability to work in classified or secure DoD environments with cybersecurity practices.
• Experience integrating models into CI/CD pipelines, analytics platforms, or decision support tools.

Mansioni

• Develop and train AI/ML models for forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, and autonomous system behavior.
• Deploy and operationalize models with Docker/Kubernetes/Podman for on-premise and edge environments.
• Design edge-compatible ML solutions for low-power or disconnected environments.
• Lead MLOps implementation using MLflow, DVC, Kubeflow, and Git.
• Collaborate with data scientists, DevSecOps, engineers, and analysts to align model development with operational needs.
• Enable real-time data integration from sensors and devices, delivering actionable results.
• Ensure data security and compliance meeting DoD standards.
