Chetenham School District announces the following extra duty - extra pay position is available for the 2026-2027 school year at Cheltenham High School:

• Position: Football – Head Coach
• Reports to: Athletic Director
• Position Summary: The Head Football Coach is responsible for leading a highly competitive and well-rounded interscholastic football program in accordance with PIAA regulations, district policies, and education‑based athletics principles. The coach will provide strong leadership, promote academic achievement, foster character development, and ensure a safe positive experience for all student athletes while building a sustainable year‑round program.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior head coaching experience at the high school varsity level is required.
• Current clearances as required by state and district policy.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of football fundamentals, rules and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with NCAA eligibility guidelines and the college recruitment process.
• Strong organizational communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, and administration.
• Commitment to education-based athletics and year‑round student athlete development.
