Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC supports Four Lakes Family Dental in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA). You will take and develop X-rays, educate patients, maintain lab and supplies, and help keep the dentist’s schedule on track.

We value reliable, outgoing team players who are eager for training and growth within a Heartland Dental supported office. Experience and EDDA certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Positive and outgoing personality with excellent patient care skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Willingness to travel for training, occasionally overnight.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Take and develop X-rays.
• Organize and maintain lab equipment.
• Provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients.
• Manage clinical supplies and support the dentist’s schedule.
• Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies.
