Job summary

IMR Soft LLC seeks an experienced Platform/Database Engineer to design, deploy and operate highly available PostgreSQL clusters on Kubernetes using operators such as CloudNativePG, CrunchyData and EDB. Automate infrastructure with Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) and ensure robust HA, backups and PITR across multi-AZ environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform/database engineering for PostgreSQL on Kubernetes.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL on Kubernetes in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with HA, backup, PITR and disaster recovery.
• IaC with Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) deployment automation.
• Observability, security, RBAC, secrets, encryption, audit logging.
• CDC/streaming (Debezium/Kafka) and PostgreSQL extensions like pgvector, TimescaleDB.

Job description

EDB Hybrid Manager, kubernetes, and Postgres expertise. Focus on candidates with Kubernetes and Postgres resources for now.

Look for the following:

• Design, deploy, and operate highly available PostgreSQL clusters on Kubernetes using industry-standard operators (CloudNativePG, CrunchyData, EDB), with expertise in StatefulSets, persistent storage, and multi-AZ architectures.
• Build and automate database infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitOps practices (ArgoCD/Flux), ensuring repeatable, scalable, and secure deployments.
• Implement and manage PostgreSQL high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and point-in-time recovery (PITR)
• Develop enterprise-grade observability, security, and compliance controls, including monitoring, alerting, RBAC, secrets management, encryption, audit logging, and data governance.
• Architect and support modern data platform capabilities such as CDC/streaming integration (Debezium/Kafka), analytics workloads, and PostgreSQL extensions including pgvector, TimescaleDB, and other ecosystem tools as required.

Preferred Experience: 8+ years in platform/database engineering, with hands-on experience operating PostgreSQL environments on Kubernetes in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
